About the Foundation

The Jeremy Stoke Legacy Fire Foundation is all about preserving the memory and legacy of Jeremy Stoke, a Redding firefighter who passed during the Carr fire in Shasta County, CA. Using our resources and donations from countless people and businesses, we hope to help students and new additions to the Fire Service and help them pay for their schooling and give them a chance to be the people they dream to be.

The foundation was founded in 2018 after the devastating Carr Fire incident in Shasta County, CA. Jeremy Stoke was working to evacuate citizens and help get everyone to safety when he was tragically killed in the line of duty. Jeremy worked for the Redding Fire Department and was both a graduate and later became an instructor for the Shasta College Fire Academy for many years. His passion for the Fire Service was evident in his work ethic and his reputation throughout the the fire department as being a brother who always had the back of his crew mates.

The vision of this foundation is to pass on some of the qualities that Jeremy embodied; Honoring the Brave, Assisting Those in Need, and Shaping the Future of the Fire Service. Jeremy was a family man and a friend to many, and his legacy lives on today in the Fire Service and through the lives that Jeremy touched.
